Background

From the goal crease to the newsroom

Theodor was born in Innsbruck in 1981 and still lives there. Before he turned to writing, he played as a goaltender in semi-professional ice hockey in Tyrol. At 22 he began a degree in journalism at the University of Innsbruck (2003–2007).

He then worked as a sports journalist and copywriter for Austrian media and agencies. Since 2016 he has written about the Austrian online casino market for Casino.at. He writes in German and English.

As a copywriter I learned how to build copy that sells. At Casino.at I use that the other way round: to show what the bonus terms really say.

Off Duty

When he isn't writing

Theodor still plays in goal, now as an amateur for a team in Innsbruck. On his days off he takes his camera into the mountains around the Inn Valley to photograph peaks, weather and wildlife.
